Davinci Resolve absolutely destroys. I love it! The node tree is such a better method in grading, handles 3rd party LUTs and transitions better, Fusion is a great substitute for After Effects if you understand it's use and Waves pluggins integrate seamlessly after their update to 18. There just is no comparison for those who wanna really color grade their content.
I've used them all and to date, Resolve has it locked down. Also, IF You decide to ever purchase a Blackmagic Cinema Camera, you get the full license FREE which opens up tons of tools that the free version doesn't give you.
I use Vegas Pro (365) and I am comfortable using it. I'm sure there are better options out there but I dabble in a few other video editors and found the learning curve a bit more than I am willing to embark on anymore. Vegas is quirky and crashes a lot - I mean a lot. Their support sucks and they just point you to articles to disable a core of your CPU or disable your GPU from being used. WTF is the point of having a great GPU at that point. So I just work around those issues when they come up and save after every change you make - literally! It has gotten better with recent versions and having a more powerful rig but it may be the easiest to use/learn. Just my 2c. Good luck
