Dressed in shiny disco hot pants, turquoise swimsuit, and black leather ankle boots, Friday takes to the river for a paddle, a swim, and an almighty splash about!
She gets completely soaked, including her hair, and once she's totally drenched she even does some spectacular water-circle hair-flicks for the still camera.
Technical: This scene has full original sound throughout. The video was shot by Felicity, standing waist-deep in the river herself, while the stills were shot by the dungeonmaster, also in the river a few feet away. Lots of close-quarters wetlook action.

Thanks! And now Friday on a Thursday too. The scene itself was shot on a weekend a couple of years back, the sun was blazing but the river was still cold, hence the scene's name. It's fed by the streams flowing down from upper Langstonedale and can be surprisingly cold - sometimes there is even still snow in shadowed gullies on the high moors, we've done a few scenes where the temperature contrast between air and water has been quite extreme.
I always wade into the water to shoot these, usually chest-deep, in wellies and overalls (no-one in the Dales needs to see my corpulent flesh in swimming shorts ) that way I can get front views of the models walking down into the water, so I generally know exactly how much they are suffering for our art!
So far this shot (above) appears to be the favourite - she's mostly dry but we all know what's going to happen, as does she, and she's happily splashing towards her wet fate.
As well as doing the full scene, and despite the cold water, Friday also let me make a series of attempts at "hair flick arch" effects, I'm quite pleased with the results, as in this shot.

Likewise, and everyone else! I think it's going to be an awesome gathering and really cool hang-out

Oh yes, while the water was cold Friday loved playing in it and we do have a rather beautiful location to play in with this one. It's really ideal for wetlook too as there's a nice slope under the water for the girls to walk down, each step lowering them further in. As I love to see the water rising up the girls' legs and clothes as they wade in, and the "deep side" has underwater rocks I can perch the tripod on with just its head out of the water so we're shooting from almost water level as the girls walk towards us - or as in this case Felicity perched herself on the rocks to shoot from - it's perfect! It's also deep enough (almost 6' in places) that the girls can actually swim about properly, which definitely adds to the fun element.
