Before you spend money on crap you don't need today consider donating to help out injured vets. Our government doesn't do enough for the people who protect this country so the rest of us should step up and do the right thing.
I agree with your sentiment but personally I would avoid that charity like the plague because it has had a long history of spending far too much money on fund raising and executive salaries and little money going to programs. It is not a total scam as bad as the Clinton Foundation but up to a few years ago it was spending up to 65% on fundraising activities.
In the last couple of years they have improved their ratios....getting their expenses down to 39%.....but this is still far above acceptable norms of what a good charity should be spending and they still have a pretty poor C+ rating on the charity watch website...
and here is an interesting one.....for many years actor Gary Sinise used to be a spokeperson for Wounded Warriors.....and then he left and created his own charity for vets...The Gary Sinise Foundation...and now his foundation is A rated
So that is telling....why did Gary Sinise part ways with Wounded Warriors and now he can run his own good charity with a well managed budget.....when it appears Wounded Warriors is still hell bent on running up excessive budgets spent on advertising and salaries.
