Yes I was thinking of trying some sort of polymerizing slime some day. Will probably do HEC first. I have read up on making it and I think the problem is people don't understand what is happening and understanding a bit of basic chemistry. You need just enough borax for the reaction to happen. More borax gives faster polymerization, when it's best to add a little and be patient and even add a touch latter, this way most is used up. There are also recipes that were likely not adhered to coupled with impatience and uncommon sense.
