I saw a two-DVD package of the tv series 'Soap' on the shelf at my local Target store. It was 'Seasons 1& 2.' The creators of 'Soap' have probably put the rest of the seasons on DVD also. I should've bought it...maybe I can buy it in the near future. Diana Canova was pied with a chocolate cream pie. Maybe these can be bought online.

Oh my, I remember seeing that Jennifer Salt clip when the episode aired, and I was like 12 years old or so...what an impact at that time. Haven't seen it since. thank you for posting this. I am always amazed by what people on this forum are able to track down. Now, if anyone could find the Charo pie hit from The Captain and Tenielle Show, Masterjoke theater, ....
As most of you probably know, "SOAP" was a satire of "soap operas". And it always amazed me at how the 3 wam scenes that come to mind are all so unlikely. And all 3 actresses that were wammed were all cute and hot! And the messes were great!
The 1st, with Dinah Manoff, was basic, one nice pie to the face. She is a spoiled brat, and iirc, a Mafia Princess (and Danny's girlfriend). Dinah's character is insulting Mary Campbell when pie is offered for dessert. She keeps saying how it's fattening, etc. And at one point, when a fair number of insults have been hurled, Mary gets ready to throw the pie, and Danny, the son, stands up and stops her. But finally, Dinah's character says to Mary, "Why don't you just apply it directly to your thighs?" Danny & Burt (Mary's husband) look at each other like, "Now she's done it!" And they both smirk and duck out of the way. Mary very calmly says to Dinah, "It isn't for me, dear, it's for you". Then she leans over and nails her!
In the Jennifer Salt episode, Dutch (her BF or husband) finds out that Eunice has been cheating on him. He's the cook for the family and brings out a huge pot of oatmeal. He gives some to everyone except Eunice. When she says, "Oh, Dutch, aren't you going to give me some?" and he says something like, "Certainly, my sweet!" and comes over and dumps the whole pot over her head. It ran all down her face and hair, and onto her chest. She looked SO humiliated! It was GREAT!
When Leslie (Marla Pennington) gets dumped by her BF while having dinner in a restaurant, she tells him that it won't really affect her (she was his teacher in school), all the while pouring wine over her head and all over her clothes, dumping salad and other things over her head, and ends up sticking a breadstick in her mouth! She makes quite a scene, and quite a mess!
Sorry. But if any of you want to see Jami Gertz and Scott Bakula have their faces shoved into a large green cake by Cheech Marin, it happened on the old HBO series 'Dream On.'(I think it happened in Part 2 of a two-part episode). Jami Gertz;Scott Bakula;and Cheech Marin were guest stars. It was a good caking.
Having just read a few of your replies I think Diana Canova was probably pied too(when I got home from working 2nd shift at a factory that evening my room-mate told me Diana Canova had a chocolate cream pie shoved into her face at the dinner table by her mother-in-law).
Dinah Manoff played Elaine on Soap and Diana Conova played Corinne Tate-Flotsky both were pied in the face at the dining room table by Mary Campbell for similar reasons
