Without the support of the users purchasing my content the scenes and idea I have wouldn't even be possible. To expect users who make very high production value content to just eat huge financial losses is really crazy just because they love something.
In other words mud fetishes should be relegated to the realm of fan art?
Please do not feed this troll or other personalities he may employ on this thread. We all know what he's saying is absurd so please don't fall for it. We are not here for his/their entertainment. Please ignore from here on out. Thank you.
I'm definitely sad to read this, Dave's work has been some of the greatest I've ever known....the anticipation in the late Nineties/Naughty's of waiting for the dvd to land.....hoping it get's through without extra customs to pay . You have made such a difference to the world with the films you have made......Probably beyond your own understanding. Your early work on natural locations was absolutely spot on. "beach of dreams" perhaps one of my favourite as well as "out of gas". I'm sorry that the world has changed into what it has and the dark web or piracy is killing the genuine keen producers. I do however understand as everyone deserves some downtime. I will be ensuring my collection is well digitalised and backed up so i can enjoy the work for many more years to come. THANK YOU Dave. You should visit the UK with your new found time.........!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
There aren't a lot of sites dedicated entirely to mud, but a ton of producers have dabbled in it over the years. If you have already looked at every one of the clips listed above and bought the ones you were interested in, then I guess you can complain about the dearth of new content.
BTW, I think all of the above sites provide streaming memberships if you don't want to buy clips ala carte.
MPV was one of the first sites i encountered when i was first discorving my WAM Fetish. I am sad to see it End but it is best to end when your in your prime than keep going to the point where you feel disapointed with your own content. i am glad to have been here when you were arround. Hope you enjoy your Retirement

Sorry but I ain't no troll. I'm just saying how I see it on my end. I love all of your content just like everyone else's and was just making a suggestion to get more video sales from people who would buy the same video twice, which I have and don't mind but figured a cheaper price would be more suitable
I see that this threat is gonna degenerate into another anti-piracy rant. Please note that Dave initially listed three factors in his decision to stop filming new material of which piracy was one but then later added what appears to be the main reason that would have lead to the same result even if there were zero piracy, market saturation, or burnout over lost personal time. Alas, Dave, like an increasingly large number of my friends, has developed arthritis that is now severe enough to interfere with the job of maintaining his multiple mudpit film sets.
I'd like to have hoped that Dave could have hired out the mudpit maintenance or got a volunteer group to support him but, even if he could have afforded that, I'd draw your attention to Dave clearly saying he wants his summers back. And, after over two decades of summers spent tending mudpits, shepherding models about, thinking up stories, and in general dedicating his life to all this, wouldn't you want some summers to yourself too!
Having had just a four ton mudbath in my house before, I can assure you keeping just one mudpit in usable condition is a perpetual time wasting chore, Dave has a lot of mudpits to maintain and their being outdoors only adds to the difficulty.
Dave is like Elvis, there's only One. We can only hope market demand will eventually give us a new high quality mud producer but even if that happens, it won't be another Dave. Dave is the one that showed folks how to quit your day job and do it! Thanks Dave!
Now, let me just say, all these anti-piracy sermons are just preaching to the choir as all of the mud forums censor any sort of pro-piracy speech and the pirates don't care as they're down drinking rum watching pirated video somewhere other than here. And there is also a lot of hypocrisy involved as well as most every time an anti-piracy sermon gets going I see a post from someone in the pews cursing piracy and yet that person is one of the pirates trading videos on some of the back channel piracy forums.
Sad to see you go Dave Thank you for your dedication over all those years. I was a member of Mpv for couple years and really enjoyed the Quality of your work. All I can say is I feel sorry I (we) took you for granted and assumed it would go on forever. I wish you all the best and glad you'll still be around every once in a while.
Also cheers to Duncan hard work as well!
Question for Duncan; Is there any possibility You could carry the torch? Anything the community can pull together?

Thank you for the kind words. You are very welcome.
The short answer to your question is no. And that's "no" for a lot of practical reasons as well as just needing each other. I have been driver, carpenter, plumber, girl wrangler, electrician, wardrobe guy, mindless heavy lifter, writer, director, idea man, medic, social media mouthpiece, lumberjack, landscaper, travel arranger, liar, deck hand, location scout, blah blah blah, etc and photographer. Truth is though that adding all that up still leaves Dave with 98% of the actual work. I'm a pretty good sidekick but far too lazy, technically inept, and disorganized to do the other parts even if it were possible. It's been wonderful. I mean it.
While I will miss it all very much I'm just as done as Dave is.
