I don't usually post much reviews on here about my experiences, but I feel this is necessary. A while back, i put in a request for a custom to be completed. To be specific, it was June of last year. I have still not received any refund nor any content. I've asked this producer several times for updates and they kept missing the promised deadlines. First time I had a custom done through them, it was completed and good. So I went back thinking I was going to have a similar experience, but I was wrong. I have paid as requested and they failed to deliver as promised. It's going on a year now of no content as promised. I've emailed several times and each time it's "please resend" or " we have it scheduled next week if not, we will refund you" or "the model is no longer available." It's really upsetting that you would hope to receive the same professional courtesy that you extend out.
It's going on a year now as of June and it is already the end of April.
I hope you have a contract. I hope the terms of the contract include a completion date. At this point you are looking at theft. Unfortunately I am not sure what recourse you would have with law enforcement as this is kind of uncharted territory with a lot of police stations. You may have to file in small claims court to get your money back.
In my mind we need to start treating this theft a lot more serious than we do. If it has been longer than 3 months past the agreed upon delivery date, we need to start looking at it as theft. If a producer has 3 credible claims of theft with the kind of documentation you are talking about having, they should be removed as a producer by MM. I know that customs and things are not something that MM likes to get in the middle of and not something this site offers. But having a title of approved for customs gives the producer some credibility in this community. If you are stealing from customers, you should not have any sense of credibility.
Hearing these stories is just SO crazy to me!!! I freak out if something happens and I am a day late (bc unfortunately life sometimes be life), messaging the person like a stage 5 clinger with ALL the updates
What is the point of even mentioning what happened if you are not going to name the producer. It does not help other people. Please name them so others do not fall into the same trap.

The reason I posted this experience is because it has been a recurring theme going on. Most people already made mention of their experiences on another thread with said producer. I wanted people to be aware of what could possibly happen when they request for a custom. It is unfortunately very risky as consumer to get a product done that they have commissioned.

Can you link the other thread or say the producer name here? That sucks to have someone bail on you like that.
Unfortunately, there isn't much you can really do now to get your content or money back (depending on how you sent it to them), but you can tell people the name of the producer or link to the thread where that producer is named so that they face some type of punishment in the form of their requests for customs likely decreasing.

Yes, naming and shaming looks like your only method of redress now. If you can't get a refund or a valid explanation the next best thing you can do is make others aware. Hopefully this will squeeze out the rogue traders.
