To be fair, I think quite a few sites and producers already do this. Messygirl; Jayce and Ariel do this pretty successfully and to extremes.
When Crazygirls comes up (as it does) every now and again - I often suspect what people actually liked about it was that it was a little bit...'edgy'. It was viewed as being a little bit on the dark side. So, not really just about the fact that they used 'extreme' things like household paint and (apparently) boot polish.
Someone could easily replicate the way the models looked and what they did but it possibly wouldn't work because it couldn't quite have that authenticity.
For the record - I was never really a fan for all the reasons other people seemed to like it. And mainly, because I got an uncomfortable feeling that the models weren't treated very well.
The Crazygirls website seemed to be in its prime a few years too early for me and despite having quite a large wam collection I do not have anything from Crazygirls. I'd jump at the chance to purchase a lot of their back catalogue but it seems unlikely to be made available anytime soon.
The "wrongness" and nastiness of their messes were the biggest turn on for me, and the fact that I think their models were college students looking to make some money who were probably inexperienced with wam and must have found it very gross. This appeals to me more than seasoned models who might get very messy but aren't as fazed by it as it's not new or "wrong" to them.
So yeah, if a new site popped up with a similar ethos and style I would be all over that!
Yes, I'd love to see Crazygirls style wam. It's such a shame that it's not available. I was too young to purchase it back when it was being produced, so I had to live on free samples.
