I know a few of you have some worries about sessions, but here are a couple of mine that might seem a bit unusual.
1. Because almost all my sessions are in hotels, I worry what might happen if the fire alarm goes off in the middle of a big session. How would you explain the mess when the fire brigade check your room ??
2. Another hotel worry is that people in the next room or passing in the corridor will hear the constant spraying of shaving foam whilst preparing pies.
3. Also that passing people might smell the strong scent of shaving foam and/or whatever substances might get used if passing by your room.
Does anyone else worry about these things? Do you have any worries about your messy sessions, apart from the obvious ones ? Please share any stories
Really, the answer to both 2 and 3 is that it's none of the business of the people in the next room or in the corridor - and even if they do smell shaving foam or hear you spraying it, the idea that you might be doing it for sexual purposes will be the last thing on their minds.
1 is unlikely too - as far as I'm aware (someone please correct me if I'm wrong), if you're in a chain hotel, the fire brigade don't have to inspect every single room because these types of buildings have smart fire alarm systems, so the fire brigade will know exactly which room the alarm went off in first. In the extremely unlikely scenario that the fire brigade want to know why you've got shaving foam all over the hotel bathroom, just be honest and say "we were doing it as part of a sex game".
1. As piecub says, I don't think they check every room unless there's an indication that it's actually near a gebuine fire. nine times out of 10 the alarm is set off by the crappy toasters in the all you can eat buffet. And if there is an actual fire then safety trumps what's going on in the room. I do have a usually have an emergency escape plan in mind in case I need to evacuate during a messy session. Basically just quick shower of as much as possible, chuck on old clothes, and get out and head to the car.
2. Music, or the TV on in the background covers most things. you don't need it too loud so you might get complaints. But that covers the odd splat and plop.
3. I usually keep the window open and avoid using anything really stinky. Most budget hotels have good heating so I'll leave the window open after a session knowing if it does get cold the room can be warmed up quickly. If the bathroom has an extractor fan turing that on as much as possible can help too. It's usually linked to the light
I've been in two hotels (oddly enough, both high-rise Hiltons) when the fire alarm went off, and in neither case did the fire brigade check any area other than where they knew the fire/smoke occurred. Basically, no danger of an unexpected or unwanted visit.
As for noises and smells, no one will complain if you keep it reasonable. Almost everyone minds his or her own business, so unless the smell is extremely offensive or the noise is so loud that you're keeping everyone awake, there are no worries. Opening a window helps, and bathrooms generally have ventilation systems. Just keep in mind that you are a guest, and a guest does not cause problems. Clean up afterwards!
