Recently watched Sexy Savory Madness! Nikko's 1st Savory Slam Glam from Jayce Lane's House of Mess. Highly entertaining and really love the way Nikko enjoyed herself with all the savory mess
I am just wondering where do you get these industrial sized condiments from and how much it cost to have this much mess
And just generally to everyone, how much do you spend for one "messy" session?
This is one of the things I like about outdoor mudding. You can play in insane, overwhelming quantities for the cost of travel, and just leave it there when you're done!

The cost of the mess depends on the type of mess, the place where you live and the amount of mess you buy. Here in the Netherlands, custard is fairly cheap but whipped cream and chocolate sauce are quite expensive to use. Things like xanthan are dirty cheap and allow you to make buckets for a very small price.
It is not always the quantity that is imortant. Different textures and feels make for different sensations. Sometimes it is more fun to buy 4 to four types of mess in small quantities that 30L of one type.
I think my record is about 450$. I bought about 150 kg of chocolate spread - but to be fair it was enough for about 3 (amazing) nights. Most of the time is spent about 20$ each time. I just love to be completely covered.
Gunge costs £3 a bucket from Dunk Tank Dave or £5 a bucket from Messy Supplies. MS will deliver in under 24 hours though while Dave's stuff is better ordered in bulk ahead of time.
I always reckon you need 12 x 1kg cartons of custard to fully cover one fully dressed model including hair and face coverage, but allow more if you want lots of clothes filling and boot filling, or if they are going to wear several layers like a jacket over a full outfit. I've seen 1kg cartons go anywhere between 99p each and £2.10. It's actually better to get the supermarket own-brand ones for pouring as it flows better, but if you're going to be all hands-on spreading and a fair bit will get eaten, go with Ambrosia as it's thicker and tastes better.
As soon as you want to add things like pies or cake sitting to the mix the prices increase, as you need more stuff. I tend to reckon a two person food shoot will run between £50 and £80 in supplies cost, depending on just how messy and what is to be done.
Of course that doesn't allow for costs of things like plastic sheets and tarpaulins, as we have a dedicated dungeon with a washable floor and hose-down. For occasional play in rooms that aren't dedicated to WAM you probably need to factor in at least another £25 in protective materials and bin bags, etc, for the residue afterwards. You can never have too many layers of plastic protection in a carpeted room. In that kind of environment I'd want two layers of plastic, then a heavy duty cloth layer, then a plastic tarp, and then multiple layers of plastic sheets. If you're lucky and the upper plastic contains the mess you can re-use the heavy underlayers for future sessions. If you're unlucky and the upper layers split or someone's high heel goes through them, at least you only have to replace cloth and tarp, not a £1500 carpet.
