The only thing preventing me from giving this episode a solid "B" grade is the pies. They were two notches better than last week. However, many of the pies were too solid and too small.
On a positive note It seemed like there were fewer water bucket punishments. Perhaps this is due to some technical reason such as risk of slipping, clean-up or electrocution? Or perhaps they were testing whether more pies equals more viewers?
Again, they had a nearly 70 minute balloon/pie segment excluding the bondage/tape-to-the-chair game.
Curly, Ruda ("Token") and even a few nameless new guys threw their pies with intent. This seemed like an episode where the men knew they had to deliver to keep up the facade that the program is legitimate.
The only major bummer was the women's team winning and Julia escaping the final five pies. Ruda ("Token") receive them instead. I think the women's team won (miraculously!!) by 1 or 2 points. But we all knew that would happen.
For me it was a huge disappointment. and im easy to please...
but the pies are complete shit now , its impossible to get a good mess outta it ,
way too much water, I really hope water balloons and buckets go away , for me , as soon as a water bucket is dunked before a pie , even if the pie is good , it cancels everything because the girl is wet so the pie doesn't stick ...

I think I know what the problem is and you touched on it. As they say in journalism school, "follow the money."
The re-bot of this show eliminated the male host and the new season even got rid of those dumb chipmunk mascots or whatever they were supposed to be. Now let's look at the messy stuff. Water is easier to clean up than slime, smaller pies mean less cleanup on the girls' dresses and the studio floor. I think its as simple as that. The water baloons still serve the purpose for the non-wammers: the guys and girls are still punished and humiliated.
With that said, one of the girls actually got messed three times, while others only had to go to the podium once. The blonde in the sparkly dress got a pretty good pie coverage despite the smaller pies. Not sure how they decide who goes when.
In any case, I'm still a fan. Definitely a big drop from the glory days of the sloppy pies, but worth checking out every Sunday, IMO.
The format and the pies were so good early on (most of 2015) that CM could have a terrible week and STILL have some redeeming moments. I always talked about how much they left on the table, and that still bothers me. (No female EVER took as many pies as both twins, Curly, Token, and a couple other men, for example.) BUT on those rare moments when the game was "equal"... and the rounds went long... and the guys pied well 50% of the time... You would have 5 great moments, minimum. Sometimes more.
The reboot screwed up the format, and the camera angles, and occasionally the pies... But there were still great moments. Except now a terrible week was ACTUALLY terrible. The good weeks could still be very good. (As the Paloma clip above shows.)
Between the new format and the new pies, the bar is just impossible to clear now. A "good" week now is still worse than basically every week in 2015. A bad week is unwatchable. There will still be a few stray quality pieings here and there, but honestly I feel like we need to add CM to the garbage pile of "Once Great Latin American Shows" that includes EEG Peru. Combate, and many others.
Paloma is such a sweet (appearing) girl...always a good sport and never complains (although in this clip, she starts to look a bit fed up after the third pie)...the other sweet model is/was the natural blond (who looks quite American) whom the guys tend to pie just in the face (seldom her hair)...she always takes the pie with a smile and has a good rapport with the guys...not sure is she is still on the program.
I think the best we can hope for at this point is a week like last week. Nothing substantial, no really solid hits at all, mostly avoidable -- BUT there wasn't an imbalance of utterly destroyed unrecognizable guys pied into oblivion.
So, basically, it wasn't a kick in the balls and that's about as good as it's going to get in the foreseeable future with this show.
