Also, let's talk about Karla suddenly being untouchable. Since the CurlyFuck disaster on the last episode of CM (Curly=50 pies, Karla=0), she hasn't been pied once. This week shows three dudes (including Curly, because of course) getting good to great pies, and Karla getting... a pie hat.

C'mon show. You've got 6+ male pieings guaranteed every week (both twins plus Curly). With the handful of possible female pieings left, you can at least make them count.

If I had to explain CM to an outsider, I'd give them that exchange.

In total, there were 28 pies, 13 Men, 15 Women. Most of the female pies ended up being hair pies or very weak face pies, but there were some great ones as well. A good episode overall.

My bad. I forgot about her. She hasn't been on the show since 2015... But I guess she's one of those lifers who can come back anytime.

Based on her past history, I would assume she got nothing but hair pies, if that.

The pies were even smaller and stiffer (no jokes please) than last week.

In the premiere episode the pies were HUGE and SLOPPY.

Apparently that was a mistake that has been rectified.

I honestly don't think the show's staff cares about the pies as much as we do. And by that I mean: The consistency, the formula, the methods of applying them, the ratio of male to female and hair to face, etc etc etc.

They DID rectify the lighting situation after the premiere. That was solid. It gives me hope. BUT....

The pies are (based on my semi-successful stabs at recreating them) mostly a combo of frosting and whipped cream. And frosting, especially, can get stiff depending on how long it sits out. I suspect that with the premiere, the pies were either "fresh" or they just sat under the hot lights forever and melted. For this week, I would guess that they didn't melt the same way... Or they taped two shows, this was the second one, and the pies sat a long time. Either way. The pies are gonna be inconsistent, I suspect, because they simply don't care like we do.

Also AG, your video already got pulled for being "too long." I didn't know that was a thing? Maybe just the female moments then?

Guess you'll have to wait until they upload it on the RedeTV page (they've already started uploading them). My screen recorder only outputs webm videos, which I don't know how to edit.

POST GAME WRAP-UP.
Damn, considering that the guys legitimately "won" the pie game this week (i.e. less pies) and two (!!) guys were clean (when was the last time THAT happened? January?).... You'd think there'd be some really solid pie hits.

And yet. The shitshow from a few weeks back might've produced better hits.

I guess it depends what you're going for. If you like hair pies, Phantom Of The Opera pies (i.e. only one half of the face), and that weird "nose forehead only" thing, then this was your show. But there wasn't really a solid hit until Pigtail Girl (not in pigtails)... And that was like the 5th or 6th female pie, maybe?
That one was dispensed by Curly... But never fear, he's still terrible, as he IMMEDIATELY got pied by a guy from the audience right after. (Odds that Curly tipped the producers $50 to ensure a guy would pie him: Even.)

Ironically, Ana Luisa took the best hit of the night... From Dumber, no less! (And he only had to take 3 pies first to get there!!) Terrible camera work tho, and of course she did her whole "angry" thing with the hair whipping around so you can't see much. Other Ana took a so-so hit and somehow WIPED it into a good one. Nadia took a good one and wiped too quick. Brunette who's been pied well every week was pied OK (but not as good as every other week). PigTail Girl took a second not bad one. That was about it.

Twin #2 actually got questions right tonight... Still worthless. His two pies on Karla amounted to a pie hat, and a half-assed lob in her direction that might've hit her back. So yes, every time he steps up (and he's typically the leadoff hitter, so 3 times) we're losing... Either he gets creamed, or he pies the girl in the worst way possible.
Heavy Metal Guy stayed clean... Still worthless. Two pies on Naty that were beyond awful. Third on Other Ana, slightly less awful. (She wiped it into a good one.)
Normally reliable Token half-assed his pie for some reason, then got DESTROYED in return. Normally reliable Paloma destroyed her guy, then got a half-assed one in return. It was that kind of show.

Karla still hasn't taken a pie to her actual face since she got wrecked by D'Lucca all those weeks ago. (In hindsight, a quality level this show might not reach again.) Maybe bring back D'Lucca soon? Send both twins on the bus, please? And Heavy Metal Guy too?

This might've been the second show they shot that day. Low energy level. Guys barely trying, even the solid ones like Token and my new stealth MVP, Tattoo Arms... He stayed clean tonight, normally gets most of his questions right, and pies reasonably well. (No hair-only crap.) Girls were half-assing it by their standards, although Paloma, Victoria, and Nadia all wrecked their guys more than any girl got wrecked the whole show. Oh, and Ana Luisa must hate Dumber as much as we do... She destroyed him all night. (Probably the main reason we got that one great hit... Turns out even Dumber can only take so much.)

As always, CM is wholly owned and operated by Major League Baseball, and all rebroadcast rights are prohibited....

I think it was a little better than you're giving it credit for. There were a lot of pies that went out today.

I've long since stopped keeping statistics but I believe Ana Luisa probably has the lowest win percentage of any of the women.

That the idiot twin lost to her three times in a row is an act of imbecilism worthy of praise.

I'm pretty sure the producers bailed him out by handing him a "tomo junto" pie at the end so she wouldn't walk off the stage clean. They almost never have "tomo junto" pies near the end of the program.

The pies became smaller and more solid during the Chega Mais days at the same time the women started demanding privileged treatment. I've always thought there was a connection between these events.

The more solid the pie the easier it is to clean up. Several of the women tagged with pies in round one appeared relatively clean (except for their hair) when they returned for round two.

When the pies are sloppy they're nearly impossible to clean off. Even a towel provides little help. Once it's on their hands everything they touch gets messed. I'm guessing neither the men or women like the insanely goopy pies.

Yeah, but I'm spoiled, especially with these particular girls.
I've seen Julia 2.0 and especially Paloma pied very well numerous times. If the pie hit only covers half that face, that's a missed opportunity for me.

And if you wanna get all conspiracy, the blue pies seemed to produce the best coverage today. The three best male pieings (also the three best pieings of the show) were blue. No females took a blue pie until the very end, when Dumber gave Ana Luisa a blue one... that was the best FEMALE pieing of the show.

So were the men told not to pie the women with the blue (gooey) pies? Who the F knows.

I think you're probably over-analyzing it a bit. I imagine the producers probably exert influence by telling them to purposely get questions wrong or buzz in a bit too late and by putting specific bonus pies out that get them to the game result that they want.

They're really not out to get us, they probably think today was a great episode.

Nah, I don't believe they're purposely changing the pie formula for certain colors. (See my post in response to CM.)

Also, when I say "conspiracy theory," that's usually my code for "Put on your tin foil hat if you think this is REALLY happening."
