I noticed an interesting division in the community recently. There seem to be some of us who love seeing women covered in mess to the point where they are hardly recognizable, and others (like myself) who enjoy seeing limited amounts of mess strategically applied.

In my mind, I've always loved to see bra/panty filling and hair mess since you can still see the beautiful woman who's being messed up. This leads to my particular enjoyment of pies, since they are not only considered "acceptable" mess to large chunks of the civilian population, but are highly targeted and allow people to be wonderfully sadistic towards their victims.

What are your thoughts on this? Should mess completely cover someone, or should it be strategically applied?

I'm a face guy, so I both like seeing the face covered and seeing the features of the face. So some wiping (but not too much) is good.

I love messy hair, but I'm good with complete coverage, too.

I voted "complete" because I hate scenes where the recipients only get partially gunged - you can tell from the promos that her back and bum didn't get any mess for example - but I also like slow coverage, and prefer if the recipient's face stays clean till near the end of the scene. But by the end of the scene, I want the models to be completely drenched in gunge, no clean or dry areas anywhere.

You can't beat a good full on covering haha

For me, it depends on whether pies or gunge are involved:

Pies- targeted. One really good, solid hit is better than pies upon pies is better in my opinion. Piejinks used to be the master of this.

Gunge- complete coverage. I'm not too fussed if there are parts of clothing dry, but I want all of the models hair/face to get good coverage. I love a girls hair to be tied back for the best results. This avoids the dreaded 'hair curtain' that keeps the face and large parts of hair clean and dry.

In case anyone was curious about the result of this, I'm just bumping the thread. The split was pretty interesting, about 60 Complete/40 Targeted as of writing this post.

So there really are two distinct groups who respond to different types of mess.

For the purposes of this poll I voted targeted, because I really enjoy cake sitting and underwear filling and pies to the face. However, I love the sheer lunacy that goes with total coverage (not to mention the feeling), and so although the initial mess would be targeted, it would eventually end up as full coverage.
