Hello all- random neuron firing here. I love the look of mehron paint, especially the metallic colors. I have no experience with mehron paint. I also love the full body coverage of marshmallow fluff. What would be the best way to combine these two looks? The idea that comes to mind is getting covered in fluff, and then pouring over the mehron paint to make my body a metallic color. But I am not sure how the oil-based mehron would adhere/not to a fluff covered body. Anyone with ideas, especially someone more experienced with mehron than me, I am all ears. I realize I need to do some experimenting, but I don't want to get the supply of each I am dreaming of until I have a better idea of what I am working with. Thank you in advance!
They would generally *repel each other. You'd need a water based metallic paint. They are not as visually effective, of course. Metallic food coloring?
*I know when I added warm black treacle to a Mehron gold/mineral oil covered model it literally bounced off. Interesting effect, though.
In my experience mehron mixes well with thick sugar based products HOWEVER it does separate after about 10 min and looks runny. On skin it creates a trippy marbling effect but doesnt create a perfect/opaque color if that makes sense.
From my experience, sugar based stuff bonds and holds color better from washable paints. Acrylic works too but careful with toxicity and eye (and other mucus membrane) burning
Around here the dollar stores sell tempura paint (water based) in many metallic varieties. This paint is also 'kid friendly' so it would be less harsh in general, and being water-based, it should mix ok.
I've seen videos where someone was painted with mehron and added fluff on top of it. The paint made the skin so slippery that it was hard to get the fluff to stick.
But I would imagine that would largely be down to what medium the mehron was mixed into.
