Not the greatest pies ever, and of course the LCD nightmare set makes everything look 56% worse than usual, but the girl is cute and it's hilarious how she KEEPS coming back for more, and loses every time....
I don't speak Spanish but I can safely say this is the kind of girl you want sitting across from you at the poker table. Especially if she keeps drawing lousy hands.
This is almost like (watching) torture....the woman is obviously really humiliated/embarrassed...she manages a forced smile and laugh here and there...but it doesn't make up for the fact that she is obviously not having fun...I had to stop watching half-way through...it wasn't fun for me to watch someone reacting in a such a humiliated manner, over and over again (on a TV game show)....not sure why people sign-up to be on TV shows that use slapstick humiliation as a penalty for wrong answers if they're not willing to take it with a good sport attitude.
That's your take, I guess, but: 1) You realize the pied girl is the one who KEEPS coming back to the host, and forcing him to ask another question, right? Every other participant just misses the question, gets pied, and moves on. She's holding up the game specifically to get revenge on the other girl. Her "humiliation" is that it keeps backfiring on her. No one was asking her to do this. (You can even see her own teammates begging her to just give it up.) I think the whole "bringing it on yourself" angle cancels out any sympathetic victim feelings. 2) 75% sure most of this stuff is staged anyway, so again... No need to feel sympathy for an actress doing her part well.
3) I will say, you're not alone in this opinion... Which is the chief reason that the steady flow of Latin American WAM from all these gameshows that was occurring just 2 years ago has basically dried up. (i.e. Only men are "allowed" to do the messy games as the females might be too embarrassed if they have to get pied/slimed/etc.)
Anyway, I still edit these clips all the time when I find them. I rarely post them publicly but thought the community might appreciate. I'll keep 'em to myself in the future.
I'd seen this earlier, shame the pies weren't properly thawed out or something today.
As for her reaction and the "torture"... she's signed up for *this* show and they smash pies all the time, she can't be that hung up over it.
My guess is it was a setup, she agreed to it beforehand and wanted the airtime. If you watch these shows, beyond losing some brain cells, it becomes quickly apparent that particularly the girls are constantly jockeying for attention.
It's just weird. The announcer people will be talking in between games and the contestants line up and the girls just sit there making faces, hopping up an down, dancing, shaking around - nothing overly sexual, mostly just stupid shit. They're all sitting there and the second they think they are within camera shot, not the focus just in the shot, they start squirming around doing random stupid shit.
1. The announcer/host went out of this way to make it sound worse then was. Even when she was laughing with her teammates, he would go, "Awww" and groan. They were clearly trying to force a darker mood on the situation.
2. At one point it looked like she was talking with the producers off camera, I think they told her to stay up there to make it a story/bit. Then again, I don't speak the language.

Having watched these Latin American shows since the first EEG came on, I can pretty much safely say that the lovely ladies on the green team that didn't play said behind the scenes they weren't getting a spec of pie on them and/or aren't playing this game. So they've modified the rules of this game so that not everyone has to play. There have been guys that played this game multiple times in a row. I think the loser gets to request a rematch or something. The blonde who got 9 pies was messy from a powder game earlier so she took one for the team. The comments on social media were really negative toward the show, like how dare you do this to a women (that signed up and agreed to be on this show)
I agree if your going to be on a show like this, agree to play games like this. EEG panama ladies whined recently, so they mixed up the teams so guys play 80% of the time.
Guerreros Columbia has been ok, they have a game or two with a nice paint substance. The blonde on that show is off limits, she hasn't done a single messy game, and has maybe got one pie in an entire month. Enjoy that show (if you're able to stream it) while it lasts.
I don't have the time to devote to streaming Guerreros Colombia... I assume once they pulled most of their YT clips, they decided not to have an online presence? I haven't found any clips past Sept. 1.
That show, like all others when starting out, has potential. But I noticed from just a few clips they changed their formulas week-to-week.... In one, the slime got infinitely better. In another, the pies infinitely worse.

I had originally felt like "she's not having fun, ehhh how do I feel?" but your explanation certainly cleared that up. It's staged, she kept going back, it's a game, etc etc -- it would probably help if I learned Spanish, but yeah - it was a good clip, especially once it was explained to me a little.
There's an unsolvable conundrum with shows like these: in an advanced county where women are seen as equal, no one will have a problem with women getting exactly the same treatment / gunge / penalties as the men do. However an equal society is less likely to put on shows with "hot women" prominently displayed in "sexy" outfits - slapstick game show contestants are more likely to wear a practical unisex uniform if messy games are involved. Which actually suits me as someone who finds women in combats and army boots very attractive, but I appreciate that's a minority view.
Meanwhile the countries that are still likely to put on "sexy" shows are also more likely to still believe in older concepts of women being weak and needing "protection", so most of the time it'll be men who undertake the games most likely to involve getting plastered in mess. Bit of a catch-22.
Possibly, except that almost every one of these Latin American games STARTS OUT equal, more or less... And then gradually shifts to "must plaster guys to protect women" mode.
The late, infamous Chega Mais (Conexao, etc) was the prime example of this. Women that had no issue getting multi-pied every week would suddenly freak out if a speck of mess touched their hair 6 months later.
So I don't buy into the country's mentality as much as the inevitable diva-ness of all the women who appear on these shows.... And then, of course, the viewers who go along with the idea that only the men should get plastered.
Sure, it's probably staged (and she probably signed a waiver)....but, as a habit, I watch most embedded videos with the VOLUME DOWN LOW...so, verbal cues (and I do speak some Spanish) that might have tipped me off to her 'alleged' pretense were mostly missed...
Speaking of "missed", my point was mostly missed: the REPETITION of the same action/scene (acting or not) was the "(almost) torture" aspect for me...faking it or not (and I don't think she was faking humiliation so much as "saving face"....but that's my take).
I wasn't sad for her, the clip just lost all its appeal for me after the third hit.
Blondie takes another pie, does the same bit about wanting revenge but this time gets it immediately.
Notice how the girl who gets it the second time just takes it and barely wipes, kind of sulking around. Normally they wipe immediately, duck their heads and run off. Pure act, folks. If there was any worry, both girls were and are playing a part.
Hey, if the Latina audience needs their "game shows" to be more like soap operas with pies... I have no issue with that.
Thanks for the find there. Now, as always, I have to track down the other pieces of this segment. (Too bad the HD uploaders can never upload the entire pie segment at once!)
UPDATE: Well, apparently on this day the pie segment consisted of 4 combatants total (The 2 girls and then the 2 guys after them) so that's it! Never quite understood the logic of having this game stretch for 40 minutes one day and less than 5 the next.
