As some of you may know, there have been new requests to declare taxation on income from umd video sales, there has been a lot of speculation, confusion and frustration over a demand to sign and send documents for the US tax office, I for one do not wish to sign anything that I do not fully understand the implications of.
As sellers we already go to great cost in time and equipment to make these videos, and as fun as they are, they require a lot of hard work.
Fees are deducted from umd for kindly selling on our behalf, PayPal also take a slice... The margins are tight without an additional 30% taxation.
Anyway, umd has stated that they will close stores that fail to turn in the documents requested and as such my store may dissappear on or around May 1st. This is not what I want at all as I have recently filmed some very exciting content... If my store is closed however, I will no doubt seek out other means of selling my downloads to those who want them.
