I think no one made a thread because it'll just be full of conspiracy theories when really it's just a format change. It's not coming back, not on level it was. That's just not how these type of variety shows work. It sucks but it's true.

The only picture I can find shows another balloon-centered episode.

I don't see any evidence of pies and the game appears to be well underway.

Last week's episode looked like major budget cuts. No CM dancers, no gels for the lights, no food coloring... i think they're broke.

When was the last time a female was pied in any sort of promo? I think it was about a month ago, the last time they did their "5 Best Tortas" pic... Before realizing they had ruined the pie game so much, they didn't have 5 pies to pick from.

Also, to whoever theorized that the show had now gotten so bad that Barb felt safe in returning... Congratulations. It really is the perfect show for her now. (No pies, balloons she can easily duck, and plenty of time to prance and complain.)

Assuming they still have captains and assuming Barbara is the girl's captain what are the odds she takes the pies at the end of the show?

The odds are low but the potential exists today for at least one good scene.

I don't think she's the captain (there's a pic of her with her hair in a towel, implying balloon) but I don't really know/care how they play these worthless games anymore. Maybe the captains take balloons too? Who knows.

The handful of pieings that still exist are so subpar (both for men and women) that it's not worth following anymore. That Token pieing is easily one of the weakest ones he's ever taken. You'd think if there's only 5 pies total per show, they'd make them count, but seems like the cast has been explicitly instructed to play nice now.

The female captain who "lost" last week took two incredibly weak pies. Wasn't even worth saving. It would be the ultimate frustration if Barb was team captain this week and got the same half-assed treatment... Considering the last time she appeared, she stayed 100% clean and gloated as Ugly Bieber took 5 full-on pies, one after the other, which the camera captured in loving close-up. (None of this "ten seconds rushed at the end of the show with crappy camera work" for the Ugliest of Biebers!)
