For the time being, Club MPV will be down due to a loss of hosting.
Early next week, I will have more news about what current members can expect in terms of future benefits (there are other subscriber type venues available, and I have a record of who was active).
In any case, this is not how I wanted to de-commission the current system, and I apologize for any frustration this will cause in the short term."
Since that time he has amended the message - He's working on getting things restored by this weekend at the very earliest. More likely early next week if all goes well. He's got a long way to go and it's been a pretty good struggle so far. Stay tuned and I'll update as it happens.
Thanks for the update Duncan. This is probably the best place to leave a note of such things. I hope you and Dave are able to get the site sorted soon!

Well Dave is all over it for obvious reasons but it's going to be an uphill climb to get things back together. As of this morning things are a bit more promising but not certain.
For anyone who might be concerned about money you have in the system, don't worry, Dave will make it right as soon as he figures out the best way to deal with all of this. Fortunately in the meantime we still have regular updates to the respective MPV Download stores here at UMD -
Ok, so the server data will be on it's way tomorrow.
We're still looking good for this week, but probably towards the end - Thursday or Friday. (I really ought not to write that out loud).
I have been thinking about ways to make up for this long outage. One thing, for sure, is that people who signed up for a single month and were subsequently effected will get another month of access at no charge. Also, I think that for renewing members, a one-time surge in bonus tokens would be nice. I have been contemplating an increase in this are for some time now. But this would be a one time thing, for whenever they renew on the next cycle. A permanent increase will likely happen soon after the dust settles from all of this.
One big unknown is whether the renewal dates will shift to the new renewal instance, or if they will stay the same. It's not a huge thing, but it could cause some confusion. I will try to minimize that as much as possible.
Last I spoke with Dave yesterday they had managed to recover all the data off the old server and it was being sent for installation on the new rig. He was hopeful for maybe being up this weekend. Still a lot of small pieces to sort through so I wouldn't place any bets just yet. It's progress.
"Ok, so a couple significant hurdles have been cleared.
The data arrived her in Tennessee yesterday and was driven to the shop where the new server is being assembled and configured. This morning came word that the data transfer completed. The transfer will be checked for accuracy and then more work will proceed.
I will post more updates as they become apparent.
Again, I'd like to thank everyone for the patience and good will."
