Here is a Google search of posts on the UMD containing the phrase "clean up" and the word "pool" (the "-forum_search_criteria -sortby" part filters some irrelevant results):
Just from the first page, this one includes prepping tips like putting a (plastic?) tarp underneath and having plenty of towels nearby:

I would also recommend a water bottle with warm soapy water, dish rags, paper towels, small tissue balls or ear plugs in each ear to avoid infections, and a clear path to the shower! Hope that helps
Or pick substances that you wouldn't mind pouring like down the sewer drain in the basement, or pick something that can be poured into your yard that way when done just deflate the pool add hose and wash away....
Hi, I highly suggest a little pool adventure. The GF is always aiming to please and got me a pool for us to use after discussing it and deciding we both wanted to try it. So the stars aligned and I was able to get a weekend away from my kids, (single dad) and we went to town.
I dont remember where I got the idea but one of my favorite substances to use is shaving cream mixed with oatmeal. its amazballs! we have only done it once so far but that is just because of timing and opportunity we used about 50 cans of shaving cream, and 6 of the big quick oat containers.
For set up, I put a thin drop cloth inside the pool because i thought it would be easier to clean and handle. moved my bed out of my room and put a couple drop cloths around the pool in case of spillage. for the clean up we were able to pick up the drop cloth with all the stuff in it. not super easy but it worked. put it in the bath tub and ran water, filling the tub and little by little, letting the mess go into the water, it went down just fine and had no trouble at all.
hope this helps.
here's an idea of how much 50 cans of shaving cream and the oatmeal is....
Oh the Show Alaskan Bush people, they made a shower with a Rubbermaid tub, a screw lock train a lever valve and im sure you could add a shower head to it, mount it above you and pull the lever open and it may not get you 100% clean but its running water......
