So, I did it and played with some bentonite clay for the first time. It was everything, everyone raved about and more, but then I realized it's clean-up is NOT like the slime I've used....
Anyone have tips on clay clean-up? Is it safe to go down the drain diluted? I mean Bentonite is used for pond sealing, so I can't imagine it's great for drains. I'd love to fill a tub but would be terrified of what would happen if I can't dilute it to go down the drain.
And what if I wanted to go big... like kids pool big? I know warmth is the hardest thing to work with, but how does one get rid of 50 gallons of clay when you're all done?
Bentonite 'clay' dilutes and goes safely down the drains. It's an ingredient used in soap. Btw as long as it's not contaminated (with food and other stuff) it lasts for many months and can be reused many times. Just decant into sealable buckets or containers.

I use modelling clay and agree with the above suggestions. Just make sure you keep some water running down the drain for a while afterwards to ensure that you've flushed it right through to the main sewer which always has water running in it. You don't want it going hard in the pipe between your house and the road!
