A lot of new girls, most of whom are VERY pieable, although the guys really fell down on this end. (There's a new cutie, aka Braces Girl, who got OWNED by Token last week. This week, she got a white knight who seemed incapable of pieing her correctly... Twice. She returned the favor by... absolutely destroying him later. Hopefully he learned his lesson: Don't be a schmuck.)
Dani got owned a couple times, and while I'm kinda bored with Dani getting pied, these were still quality. She would've gotten it even worse, but (for the THIRD time in CM history?) a guy decided to pie HIMSELF instead of the appointed female. For those keeping score.... White Knights = 0, Females = 3. (I'm still waiting for the day Barb decides to pie herself rather than her unfortunate male counterpart for, say, the 3rd or 4th time that game. I will probably be waiting a long time.)
Beyond that, not bad. Nadia got owned as well as any time in recent memory (3 times?), which is always welcome. Flowers For Julia got a long-awaited comeuppance, including an awesome pieing at the end by Curly. (Who now apparently is contractually obligated to take the first pie of the show, no matter what. And 1-2 pies after as well.) Some new brunette got wrecked a couple times too.
So-so pie for Paloma (BOO!)... Pretty good pie for Blonde Whose Name I Forget... New Julia got away with just balloons (something in her contract where she can only get pied every other show)... And of course, the epic failure of Braces Girl, who hopefully sticks around for the long haul. (Because she is not REMOTELY smart, and there's only so many girls they can "dumb up" per show, and hopefully her next opponent will know how to pie more than her nose.)
Not as solid as last week, but good news going forward. Very little drama minus Barb... Very little shenanigans minus Idiot Twins (Curly is trying his best to be the Supreme Idiot, but everyone else on the show has already given up on him by now)... And the new girls are pie-worthy, pie-willing, and reasonably dumb. Inevitably the show will screw this up, but for now: B+
Yeah, white knightery and poor balloons aside, this was pretty damn good. I'd give it a soft A-, I think the highs well outweigh the lows here
- 0-4 for Nadia - a new record I believe - Not just several multiple pieings (2 Dani, 2 Julia, 3 for new brunette), but all were top notch hits, rare to get quality and quantity - 3 other girls got good single pies - I'm more charitable to the Paloma/Braces hits (B+/B- respectively) - the blonde is Duda btw
And then 3 balloon-only girls and the unfortunate return of chivalry, but even an A episode of the show is going to have downsides, perfection unattainable and whatnot. Let's keep the good times rolling.
She's the one I'm always "eh" on. She never seems to mind getting pied, and she gets 'em fairly often, but she's never had a single hit where I went "DAMN." Most are average to decent, but never spectacular.
Naty, New Julia, and Braces Girl were the missteps here. Naty and New Brunette were the big wins. I honestly only skimmed over the lo-res files, I'm sure I'll enjoy it more when the HD goes up.
