It seems that there were issues behind the scenes. From what I can put together with the help of Google Translate, the creator/initial director of the show, Marcio Tavolari, was unhappy with the direction the show was taking. There appears to have been some infighting as a result, which led to him being fired.
The original copyright for the name and concept of the show was filed in his name, a claim that he is now enforcing by bringing legal action against RedeTV. Now that the year-long contract has concluded, RedeTV has lost the rights to the show and will not be able to broadcast it any longer in the form that we know it today.
I think that because a show like this has made such an impact (has it over there?) it'd be impossible for other producers to not make a similar show with such a time-slot/genre opening, among other things. Too bad we don't know when that will be. A sad day in TV Wam, some of the slime scenes were pretty good. My condolences to the pie fans ~

Several of those articles are from December. I guess they've been producing episodes with this legal issue hanging over them. The fact that all the YT episodes were promptly removed today indicates that the judge may have made a ruling or a contract expired.
How could the show be altered to escape the legal claims of this Tavolari guy? Change the name of the show? Work with a different modeling agency? Throw real pies instead of paper plates with frosting? This guy didn't invent the pie gameshow format. What a d-bag!
I hope 100,000 11 year old Brazilian girls protest outside Tavolari's house until he gives up.

If you take a look at his Facebook, you'll understand the type of person he is. He talks in all caps and apparently has very strong views about politics and media. He's the type who wouldn't want to be paid off just to fight the corrupt corporation that's trying to take advantage of him.
300,000 Brazil Real is approximately $79,000 U.S. dollars.
Is that it?? $79K??? That's almost laughable!!
Give me ten minutes with this guy and I'll have him dispense with the lawsuit for 10% cash paid upfront. That would amount to maybe $1 from everyone who reads these threads.

Yeah, without "Chega Mais", there will be a 50% reduction in new threads on this board.

On the bright side I feel like the forum can settle down a little bit over Brazilian game shows now. Some guys were working on freaking ulcers over CM and were practically having heart attacks every Sunday night, if the show was good and ESPECIALLY if the show was bad. So we can go back to being mostly sane again.

I initially dismissed a comment I saw on Chega Mais Facebook as mere speculation but it apparently turns out to reflect what we've learned in this thread.
Roughly translated the person wrote:
I talked to Thiago and he told me that the program is being reformulated. In both scenario and framework. It will return again.
If what this person is saying is accurate it sounds as if pies may not be part of the new program.

I think the original creator imagined the show as a talk-show where people come in to talk about sexuality-related subjects for the first portion of the show, with all the Belas x Feras being a minor segment at the end. Over time, the directors realized how much people liked the Men vs. Women trope that's so prevalent in the media there and focused on expanding it. If anything, I would think a reformulated version would focus on the fluff that people actually watched the show for.

The interview segment is gone. The games played before the pie fight are 90% new. The pitchers of water and slime from the first month of the show were eliminated. The messy segment is nearly entirely pies.
Except for the pie fight the individual elements of the show bare little resemblance to the show this guy claims he created.
I agree with abgamma. The pie fight was originally intended to be a crazy segment designed to keep people tuned to the end of the show. It was not intended to be the nucleus of the program as it eventually became.
I think this guy was just pissed that none of the models wanted to sleep with him.

I am very sad that the broadcast no longer exists. I liked it very because they had good hairWam and i am totaly into that.
So the thing is , i have downloaded 65% of all Episodes in HD. But still missing lot of them. Do someone else have a List with all ? Is someone willing to share them, or we make some Website to Trade them.
