Gotta say, i concur. It was a great idea and i applaud you for thinking of it and trying it - but in reality, it takes away from rather than adds to the quality - the type you're using is just a really poor program.
I understand the background effect isn't what it's supposed to be. And it's not because the program is bad or underpowered, but because the effect works best for a setup I can't do.
Which is why on UMD whenever a video using the effect is purchased, there is included with the purchase a second video without the effect, but with the exact same editing.
On my Highwire store, I can separate the two, so you can choose if you want the Curtain background or Island background. (The default is curtain, in case a customer misses the option.) Since UMD doesn't give you this option, both are included in the purchase.
