Escaping The Pit Part 3 "Candle lost the challenge and has to get out of the pit for a shower!"
Part 3
We finished the escape challenge, minus the escape, and there was that pesky part about getting out of the hole. I thought it was going to be a cakewalk, but the clay had other plans in mind. My legs were crossed while sitting in the hole, and the pressure of the dirt would not allow any movement for leverage.
With the arms being tied behind my back and elbows together, there was no movement. I had Scott and our assistant pull on my torso, but that only caused strain on the legs as things popped and pulled like a rice krispie treat. Not what you want to hear when you are trying to get out of a cold hole and get cleaned up.
As the rain starts falling, it becomes apparent that we are running out of time and something needs to be done soon. I crack jokes but there is a tinge of nervousness because I don't want to be stuck in a hole forever!
