I love sinking in mud, the deeper and sticker, the better! I've been trying to find accessible quarry clay (especially around the phosphate mines in Central FL), but haven't had luck so far. Would anyone be willing to share any leads they have on deep mud/clay spots?
Tried to find the ones near Ft. Meade myself on a brief vacation a few years back but ran out of time. Use Google Maps satellite view, you can see them but the trick is figuring how to access them. Takes a while to figure out a good place to park so that you can walk in, a good map and compass, and watch for alligators in the water ponds.
