There are 3 versions of the movie: Kannada, Telugu and Tamil. All these version follow the same script but were shot from slightly different angles and have a different male lead. Some details (clothes, props etc.) might also differ slightly between the versions. There is also a Hindi version, but it's just Hindi-dubbed Tamil version.
Hence, the messy scene is actually 3 slightly different scenes
Also, the female lead, Juhi Chawla, is in all the versions, she had to film the scene at least 3 times
