For those who follow Domingo Legal, this show has been delivering lately every time adult females participate... And while I wish the men were smarter, the hits here are friggin' fantastic.
That brings up another point: When these live shows started, the camera work was VERY hit-or-miss. There were actually several nice hits on good-looking women where the director had NO close-up! Not even during the hit!
They have clearly learned from their mistakes. I actually got the feeling the director was telling the cameras, "Stay on the messy girl."
They also limit it to 4 per team and the pacing is a lot better, so we're getting (in this case) 6 rounds... versus the 1-2 from earlier live shows...
See what I said in my last post? They don't follow a pattern. Today they did upload in HD(YEAH!) . Now is possible make the edit in HD too(I'm going to do it tomorrow) ..
Haha, I already made my own edit in full 1080p! But definitely do the YT post as that's your thing. I tend to do edits of all these PoR clips... They flow much better without the rude intrusion of guys getting pied.
In this case, I left in some of the footage even when the girls "won" since the camera man invariably cut AWAY from the guy who was pied and focused, instead, on the girl's victory dance... And her pied teammates. The director definitely deserves a big thumbs up. Somewhere there's a male WAM forum bemoaning the "terrible camerawork" of this clip. ("The guys got pied MORE than the girls! How come we never got any good closeups?? It's a conspiracy!")
It's only a little depressing when you watch the score jump from, say, 8-5 to 13-5 and realize just how many good pie hits got left "on the table" (no pun intended). If only these girls had been as stupid as the ones from last week...
To clear up the braces thing, which has already been addressed but here I am anyway, a lot of time in poorer South American countries, there just isn't the same access to orthodontists as you might be more familiar with. You will see a lot of older people wearing braces and it's just not a big deal. I was staying in a big corporate resort in Mexico and basically every single employee had braces. Once they got the job there, it was one of the perks and up until then I guess nobody had the means to get it done.
In this case with these girls, it's not unlikely that prior to being "discovered" for this girl band they're now in, they just didn't have the access to orthodontists.
I must say, I did truly enjoy this one. I'd say it's the best of the "celebrity" PoR moments. I'm not familiar with the bands in this but they do seem younger (not below 18) than some of the other shows which have celebrity types who are 25-50 in age. I'll take younger more fun-loving 7s and 8s over the 9s and 10s who are much more squeamish about it and pull pies to the chin or nonsense like that. Kudos to the male team for showing almost no restraint whatsoever, that hit at 6:30 is just brutal and amazing, which is somewhat surprising as it's the first hit that girl took. Usually they build up to the double pie massacre hits like that but here they went for it straight out of the bat.
