I don't know what prompted Dima to have these *BOT* scans added to his website. And I'm not saying they shouldn't be there, but over the last day or so I have found it almost impossible to log in now.

Over the years I have purchased literally hundreds of sets, but if I can't get in I won't be purchasing any more.
I have Apple devices. I generally browse on my iPhone but make purchases on my iPad.
My experience has been the same as Dont_Panic's: no problem here. It's not even a full second of extra effort to click the checkbox or tap the button, and it's worked fine for me across a range of iOS, Android, and Windows devices. No issues anywhere.
Dima posted that he had to implement this because their site had been subject to repeated DDOS attacks recently that resulted in their server going down for hours or longer a couple times. This seems like a very painless tradeoff for having their site remain up and resilient.
