For people outside of London, Uk.

If you were to come to London for something special that you REALLY wanted to go to, and you were going to make a weekend out of it, which day would you prefer it was on?

Saturday or Sunday?

Saturday.

That way I don't get knackered doing other stuff before the main event, but if still have energy next day, can go do tourist things.

I'm going to agree with sat but either is possible.

It partly depends on the time of day. If it's in the evening then Sat is easier than Sun, because it gives me time to travel back. If it's in the morning then Sun is easier than Sat (unless I travel up on Fri evening). If it's in the afternoon, either day would work.

I agree with Saturday. It means for those who can find cheap accommodation they can spend Friday or Saturday night and take a mini break. There's usually more frequent public transport on a Saturday too. Which month of the year and how much notice also makes a big difference.
