In case you guys haven't been keeping up, weekend kids TV show Scrambled has been providing some fairly decent gungings for quite a while now. But over the last few weeks it's been pretty spectacular! Take this last weekend's offering for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CFNY36SpwPI
Awesome gunging, definitely one of the best especially from that show in particular. There have been some great mainstream WAM scenes lately.
Any reason why you need to watermark the video though? It's not really your original content and it is somewhat albeit slightly intrusive especially being in the centre.
Agreed, great run to the end the season, shame there won't be any more till October - thinking maybe that's why this one seemed extra long.
Thanks so much for editing these as well Slipperyskin, the ones from the main CITV site don't include the intro or aftermath your clips include, which makes all the difference, especially in this one - the CITV clip had nothing after the replay, wouldn't have even known how good this one was if not for the bts footage that got posted last week.

Appreciate that Duffman!
To answer AusWAM's point; I have invested good money in capture hardware to get and share these shows in pristine 1080p HD (as opposed to the heavily compressed low resolution copies published to ITV's own site). Prior to the watermark, all the other wam youtubers were just copying my captures and posting to their own channels. So I figured it was a fair compromise. You are always able to watch the widely available low res/non-watermarked copies that are out there in abundance if it's an issue.

That's fair enough I guess although you have watermarked/overlayed some videos that weren't in "pristine 1080p HD". I guess the nature of mainstream WAM YouTube videos is that the videos are going to inevitably be reuploaded and shared around, whether its the next day, next year or next decade. People like jucmehoff have been capturing TV wam scenes for years without the need or care for a watermark. It's just something you have to deal with if you're going to upload TV WAM scenes on YouTube. Could even go as far as to say that reuploading and sharing should be encouraged if it ensures the scenes reach more people and have a greater chance of being saved just in case for the future.
It just seems incredibly petty to worry about other people stealing 'your content' when you're still the one with the highest quality video and first uploader's advantage. Maybe an intro or watermark to the side would be better. If other YouTubers really feel the need to spend time downloading, cutting out the intro or cropping the watermark, re-rendering it in worse quality and uploadng it themselves then good luck to them. I doubt anyone would want to watch that one rather than yours at that point.
As a matter of fact, just today you reuploaded the exact same video that is already on YouTube (That German KCAs Rollercoaster sliming) so in essence you just copied another wam YouTubers capture, the very thing you dislike. Maybe they themselves paid money for video editing software, or capture software.
Not having a go at you or trying to start a massive argument. I don't have a problem with the small watermark in the video, I just don't really understand the inconsistent logic behind it. WAM Producers on this forum I can understand because they actually made the videos themselves from start to finish and it's their actual content. Your videos are obviously high quality and of course feel free to do whatever pleases you but yeah, just wanted to discuss was all Not sure what other people think..
Thanks for the Capture! Anytime someone from the community takes the time/effort/expense of capturing these clips it's very much appreciated.
In regards to the Watermark, I have no problem with it, other than it's placement. Typical Watermarks are either in a corner out of the main subject's visual focus, or if not at least clear the focal area enough not to obscure the clip being preserved.
Maybe drop it down dead center at the bottom?
Anyhow, if Credit and Recognition are what you're after, then Excellent Job and very well done. Thanks for bringing it to the wider community's attention as well. Side Question for MM: Do we have a Forum TAG for Community Captured / High Res content?
.... you have watermarked/overlayed some videos that weren't in "pristine 1080p HD".
Sometimes things aren't available in HD, so we make do with whatever format we have. In any case, I always spend time making specific edits so that it is presented in the way I feel gives the best viewer experience, bringing in extra behind the scenes type stuff sourced from social media (and so that it isn't instantly flagged and blocked by youtubes increasingly sophisticated automatic flagging software which has made many clips unattainable elsewhere on youtube in any decent quality) There are many variables, each requiring time and effort to make the best of.
It just seems incredibly petty to worry about other people stealing 'your content' when you're still the one with the highest quality video and first uploader's advantage.
One might argue that the depth of critique you're presenting for something so trivial is even more incredibly petty. I've never once regarded or referred to this stuff as 'my content' as you've suggested in both of your messages now, I'm not sure what you're trying to imply with that. As I stated above, they are my captures and/or edits, nothing more.
At one point, another channel was systematically lifting everything I posted and it was suggested to me by another prominent wam youtube channel that I include a watermark to discourage this, so, I did. My alternative could have been to play their game and just gone around lifting everyone elses videos, and spend way less time trying to bring stuff that wasn't already available, or bring it to people in the best available quality. I know which option I feel brought more to the table.

I do usually make a point of placing them in corners and out of the way of the action, it was an oversight that led to it being rendered in that particular position, on this and a few other occasions, though I still don't feel it actually obscures anything. I can make a point of double checking that in future.

Sorry, I did what? It appears you're just trying to be deliberately hostile and score points here. I scheduled that to upload before it appeared anywhere on youtube. It is exactly as released by Nickelodeon Germany, not someone elses capture or edit. If someone else has also found and uploaded that clip in the meantime, it doesn't equate to me copying another youtubers work, so isn't the very thing I dislike, at all.

I'm quite happy to have a discussion about the placement of watermarks, and indeed whether there's even a need. But you've embellished an unnecessarily pedantic argument with some false assumptions and an accusatory and hostile tone. So I do find it hard to believe that you're not having a go or trying to start an argument. There is no inconsistent logic. Amongst the TV stuff, there is also content on the channel that I have indeed produced or had a hand in producing, and there are many more on the way.
Anyhow, having defended the specific points that I feel you were off-track on, I bid you a friendly goodnight!
EDIT: Hilarious! So it turns out you run a youtube channel too? And it turns out that it was actually you who also uploaded that German KCA clip you accused me of stealing? Seems the pettiness on your part runs even deeper than it originally seemed.
Boomer10 said: Great scene thanks. What day and channel is this on?
It's on ITV in the UK. The show is on both Saturday and Sunday mornings, though the gunging's usually occur on the saturday. This post is of the final episode this series though, so there won't be anymore until the end of the year - and who know's whether they'll even keep this particular segment in a new series. Fingers crossed!

Thanks Zan! I totally agree with the point on positioning, I usually make a point to, but the template I use drops it in the centre. And sometimes, if I'm in a hurry, I forget to re-position. I'll endeavor to keep an eye on that in future though!
In this week's episode of "Cloak and Dagger" (it's part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, if you didn't know), there was a double dream sequence (it's hard to explain, if you hadn't seen it), and in Ty's dream, he saw Tandy -- the titular "Dagger" -- running away from a situation, again and again. One time, she accidentally ran into this muck/quicksand area, and she tried to grab something to climb out, only to slip, and she sank.
It's on Hulu, if you want to see for yourself. The whole show is great, but this part caught me by surprise.
Yo AusWAM you're never going to get back the 20 minutes or more it took you to write all that. Personally with the watermark above the action it's not intrusive one iota in my opinion. If it were at the bottom cutting out a leg shot then I might tend to agree but come on...

Great call, thank you! Please feel free to private message me any future wam alerts.
