I know this post has probably been done before but, what in your experience has been the best shaving foam brands to make pies with? I'll start with my own little consumer research based on my own experiences.
Here are a few brands I've used.
Gilette (black tin and orange tin) Nivea Boots own Superdrug own Morrisons own Tesco's own
In my opinion, Boots own brand is the best foam I've used. It expands nicely, particularly if you warm it up first, so you can get a good 3, maybe 4, pies from one can (depending on how big you make the pies). Plus it's not too expensive (usually about £1 a can or thereabouts). Gilette in the black tin is one of the worst. Sure it's cheap but it's very wet so it doesn't come out the can well and usually makes a very sloppy pie. Gilette in the orange tin is so much better but it's quite expensive (somewhere around £2.79). I only tried it because it was on special offer. Nivea is a good one too. It's another one that expands well, and it's a bit more sensitive, so it stings less. The downside is it's expensive and it's a bit of a nightmare to get it out the can, especially at the last few drops. Most of the supermarket own brand ones are cheap and do the job quite well, although some of them are hard to find. Some I think have even stopped selling them
That's my own experiences. Still a lot of brands I haven't tried but no doubt I will soon, and, when I do, I'll be sure to report back. Let us know what your experiences are of various shaving foams
