Has anyone had any experience with this chain of escape/game rooms in the US?
It seems they have them in a number of cities, and the final game in the experience involves trying to defuse the 'bomb' that splatters the players with either paint, foam, or slime (depending on the game you choose). Everyone seems to be dressed in overalls and goggles unfortunately, but seems like a unique 'mainstream' messy experience aimed at adults.
All of the ads I've seen for the New York City rooms, everyone is wearing full plastic zip up suits. Sure, you get splashed with water based paint, but what's the point if you can't get your own clothes messy? It's like wearing ponchos for a pie throw...

(I still hold out hope that one day Messyworld will open an escape room to the public)
They claim that there is a 10% success rate in winning the game (and not getting splattered). But yes, a proper gunge escape room for adults would be amazing.

Not having a go at you, but some people might not like having their own clothes splattered with foam, or paint. Not everything is designed for WAMers in mind. Most are just regular people wanting a unique experience without having to worry that their $200 nike shoes, $150 jeans and $50 T-shirt will be stained by water based paint.
While I agree mostly that if you are going to get messy, wear old clothes not everyone understands or wants to get particularly messy my friend,.

...or they have places to be straight after, etc.
This would work great at a waterpark. Turn up in your swimwear, get messy, quick hose down, and go on with your day

The simplist solution is giving people the choice before the game starts ... i bet a bunch of youtubers types would go without the zip up suits.
