SUBSCRIPTION WEBSITE WETLOOK Approaching the end of the year, gives us a chance to reminisce. So it is back to 1982 to Jackee, a girl who symbolized our start-up under the name of Wet Shots. As you can see in image set W290 and movie WSM102 shot in Sept 2010 of Jade, we still have that very t-shirt used in 1982. For Jackee we have 29 shots from image set W100 plus follow-on 23 shots from image set W105. These were shot at the seaside at Ainsdale, near Southport in North West England, but not by me but my 2nd partner Mike Whyman. I did not pick up a camera until 1983. This is a continuous set of two parts. W100 followed by W105. How interesting to see a full wet set from long sleeved t-shirt and jeans to eventual nude strip. Nobody objected then. Long live retro shots! We show 4 sample shots, 2 from set W100 and 2 from set W105. See if they appeal?
I well remember the original Wets Shots. The first one I saw, the girl was on a peat bog very similar to Kinder Scout and was dressed in jeans and a shirt. She also had a hat. which blew off in the wind. She didn't lose any other clothing, but she did get extremely messy retrieving her hat. The first set I bought, (simply by turning up on the doorstep in Stoke on Trent, there was no internet in those days) was a slide set of a lady getting wet and muddy in the side of the river where cows would drink. Another early set was featured in Fiesta magazine and was shot on Suffolk I think the girl, a first time model apparently was dressed on a long skirt and a cheesecloth blouse. She was so pleased with the set that she had some extra shots taken of her (dry) so she could give them to her parents. After those she wallowed in the pond mud.
