Just announced by Buckingham Palace, who never usually comment on the Queen's health:
"Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen's doctors are concerned for Her Majesty's health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision."
This is potentially very serious.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Her Majesty and her family at this time.
I'm in the USA but we pay attention to her here, too.
I'm going to miss her. What I liked the best about the Queen was that she didn't seem to be corrupted by her riches. She just kept on working. And for that, I admire her.
She was Queen for longer than I've been alive. The world seems different.

She was completely incorruptable, what she had, as Queen, was worth far more than any amount of wealth could ever buy.

Agreed, as Nessie said, the world seems different.
And having a king instead of a queen is going to take a lot of getting used to, though King Charles III seems to have got off to a good start, he's made Prince William Prince of Wales, and Katherine Princess of Wales, which is a nice touch and I think a nod to William and Harry's mother, Diana, Princess of Wales.
The sucession of the title Prince of Wales is pretty much automatic to the next in line to the throne, and naming anyone else or using a different title would be very controversial and almost without precedent.
With the Queen dying why not give another family a shot? The current royal family aren't exactly people to be proud of. But considering who we toss in government in the states I can't be too harsh in my judgements.
God Bless King Charles. When we see what has happened in America, in recent years. (No disrespect to the USA intended) The Presidency has become at least controversial and arguably dragged into disrepute. Maybe we can see the sense of having a non-political Head of State. Who tries to represent the best in all of us. Peter
I just watched the funeral on BBC One. Possibly one of the most moving experiences of my life. When after the two minutes silence everyone sang the national anthem, I'm not ashamed to say I had tears running down my face. It as a beautiful, magnificent, and very emotional service.
Go in power Elizabeth II, our greatest ever Queen.
I watched on ITV, where the coverage was excellent! No adverts!!
The footage was the same as BBC, but the commentary was much more discreet - Just silence if there was nothing really to say, whereas on the BBC they seemed to have to discuss everything.
Except they couldn't mention the Australian PM because they weren't sure who he was!
Apparently the Australian coverage identified Liz Truss as 'a minor royal!' Minor - yes! Royal? Most definitely not!!
My mother was born in 1925. I grew up with the Queen. I didn't know any other Queen, like I didn't know any other mother. When the Queen visited Germany for the first time, I was 8 years old. Now the Queen is gone, my mother left in 2015. An epoch came to an end yesterday with the Queen's burial. These will be difficult times for the united kingdom.
