The UK finally abandoned its Orwellian plans for age-verification the other week, but this just shows, whacky ideas based on mass invasion of privacy by governments are still alive and well.
Hopefully this idea will get shot down in flames in short order. Meanwhile the experiments with DNS-over-HTTPS, which potentially render most government filtering schemes null and void, continue, with both Firefox and Chrome starting to roll out the technology to users.
Wow, this is so ridiculous! Right wing governments that know very little about technology seem to come up with the worst ideas! Less regulation on banking and taxes, but more on the web! Even more reason to cover your webcam
