As title says, was alerted to someone uploading stuff of mine on to IG. I'm not on it to engage, but my page asked people not to share, so a bit pissed at this development.

Beyond getting my pal to message him and ask to take it down is there anything else I can do?

I wouldn't write to the person who uploaded your content, they'll just ignore it. Maybe contact instagram and say someone has uploaded a video you made? I don't want to be *that* person but once you upload something to the web it ceases to become yours. Anyone can and will download and upload something if they think they can get views or help them make money. Same goes to anyone here, the risk you take when you upload something is someone else is going to download it and upload it elsewhere, and asking nice saying 'don't upload my stuff elsewhere' is more a formality than anything. Someone else may be able to help more than i can but my first thought is contact instagram support.

I probably naively expected some honour among WAMmers. I don't mind people privately keeping stuff, but recycling it as their own content without asking is over the line.

I don't think you are nae just as i don't think that the majority of people here are bad. It's just difficult to weed out the bad and it's incidents like you mention that tends to harm this group as a community. Can't personally see why someone would want to upload someone else's WAM content. Does the uploader no real good.

Why don't you dm MessMaster and ask for his advice. I have found he is very helpful.

It's just out of order, especially when the guy who posted it then completely ignores the request to remove it (twat)! Joey, just take it as a compliment, it was a great Insta story, the pies were AMAZING and it's just sad he hasn't got his own content to post x

I most frequently come across two types of WAMmer guys:

1. Self-hating.
2. Weirdly oblivious.

Both can be creepy and predatory. Surprisingly, the narcissists who've caused the drama for me are the first type.

All of my fav videos on YouTube (like, college students pieing each other, or content creators getting slimed) have weird comments telling the guys that the video is 'nice, but they should do this more often, and shirtless, or naked.' Nobody seems to be uploading good messy content on YT anymore


You see that even in videos where kids are messy. The creeps are compulsive. And apparently unaware that anyone can tell they're making sexual comments and will be accordingly creeped the fuck out

The narcissists I've endured here (lying, bullying, SA, sadism) could have just been respectful and maintained their desirable front image to others. But they would have to see and treat me as a person, and take it seriously when someone is bothered by their behavior. They're not capable of that.

I wouldn't agree with whoever above said most wammers are good people or whatever. Over half the ones I've met with through here have done jaw dropping batshit crazy and insanely disrespectful things irl, intentionally.

They've killed the community on this site too. The good people just disengage: they tell me this. They just don't log on much anymore.

I don't know why people are saying you can't do anything. You can.

You can complain to every site with pirated content, and you can sue the idiot in his country. Most wammers will stop dead in their tracks when the law is on them. But you'd have to show that level of bravery to let that be public.
