We've had it on our other Facebook page and twitter where people from the community have made comments on photos and our page about public events. Makes it very difficult when somebody comments on a pubs Facebook site about the gunge tank being there and any more pictures of girls in a creepy way when its just there for a bit of fun. Its a shame as it has meant we no longer let people know where we are with the tank or post pictures of the events.
This... is really not why people think whatever they do about fetishists.
Yes, this is inconsiderate and disrespectful behavior that treats his desires as more important than the desires of the people he is interacting with. We should say this is bad behavior, don't emulate it. We should hold ourselves to higher levels of respect and authenticity than this.
But this is a no-name, no icon twitter account with behavior indistinguishable from an off-topic troll. It has no reach and no authority. Don't allow yourself to think of this person as having more power than they do. They are capable of doing some harm to individuals. If you are worried about what people think about you, know that this behavior has essentially no effect on the public perception of fetishism as it has evolved over the past, you know, 100+ years.
You are the only person you can control. It's not exactly fair, but all you can do is be the fetishist you want to see in the world. Decide how you want to represent yourself. Try to make the world a better place when you can. And just live your life.
There is a lengthy discussion about this individual on EcGunge. For the record, this "jake" individual has no connection to another figure in the wam community, WamJake.
He is, in fact, been "outted", as if were, as RunningRebel. He admitted it was him months ago and at the time accepted that he needed help and was seeking therapy in that regard. It does not appear as if it has been overly successful, unfortunately.
