I love experimenting and have been reading about whipped cream canisters/whippers and wondered if anyone out there had any experience with using one to make messy pies?
Apparently you can also aerate other sauces and stuff in them, has anybody tried?
I used to work at Starbucks and they are so easy to use.
You simply pop pouring cream in the canister (leaving an air gap at the top of course) and apply the lid. You then throw a gas charger on top and tighten until the gas releases... give the bottle a quick shake and you've got instant whipped cream.
However, the canister chargers on top can be expensive. A lot of places sell them in boxes of 10 or 20 at a time so this can make it cheaper. Also the initial canisters can be pricy but you only have to buy them once
Thanks for your reply, so what your saying is the stuff SB put on their Frappuccino's is single cream. I wonder how double cream would come out, or thicker substances? I am of the mind to give it a whirl, the devices and canisters aren't wildly expensive, but only after I have used up some of my existing stockpile.
