So, I thought it might be a good idea to share my experience buying my first singlet. I also have extras if anyone is interested!
I'm a slim 6 feet 2 guy. I weigh an average of 150 pounds with a 32 inch waist if I've been consistently taking care of myself. I always wear a size medium. It's always been super consistent. I spent about $70 on my first singlet. It looked great and is super snug and tight. Unfortunately a little too tight. I knew I was in trouble when I couldn't even sit down. Of course I tried and heard a rip. I blasted up and removed my new garment. I couldn't have been wearing that more than a minute. I quickly realized I bought a size too small. Again, this singlet was a size medium.
So I bought a size up. Sometimes I have to order a size large if I'm ordering from an Asian country anyway. This size was a bit better and at least I could sit down. Unfortunately it was still super tight and I think this one was starting to rip on me as well.
So for the first time I ordered a size XL. Always worn a medium. Never once thought I would have to order an XL. But here we are. The XL fits me much better. It's still very snug which is what I want but you better believe I'm constantly anxious about this one ripping as well. Lol
So from now on if I ever buy another singlet, I'll have to order 2 sizes up to an XL. Just something to keep in mind if you're looking to buy yourself a singlet.
That being said, I now have 2 singlets that are just too small on me if anyone is interested. I have a medium and a large. Send me a message and we can talk about the details. I'll post some pics of me in my XL singlet and of the rips. The rips are so small I doubt anyone would notice.
