Adrienne was pied in the mid 1970's on a show where David Frost was also pied. Is this available anywhere? I've only seen a still shot of Frost getting pied.
There is a clip on youtube called "The Borden Twins on Maude" (which I won't bring here because it has kids in it) where pretty much the entire cast gets into a pie fight. Mrs. Barbeau is involved in it. She doesn't get hit with a pie, though.
She does get some cream on her from someone else's pie, but that's about it.
I recall reading about this scene in the magazine High Times when I was a teenager. Don't judge. After all of the ensuing years, I wondered about this but figured it was just wishful thinking from a "smoky" youth.
My guess is that it's from an episode of "David Frost Presents" from April 1976. I haven't been able to find any archived video from that show.
I remember this bit. IIRC, she and David were working the audience. I don't think we see her getting hit, but the immediate aftermath. And she was wearing a nicely lowcut dress.
I don't know if Adrienne Barbeau ever has been pied, but her husand, Billy van Zandt is no stranger to pie throwing.
About 5 years ago, he and a partner, Jane Milmore, wrote a play called "Silent Laughter" which featured a climactic pie fight. The show played off-Broadway.

And BarryK, "Silent Laughter" sounds wonderful! The pie fight sounds awesome, especially in a live theatre! Unfortunately, it looks like just one woman in the cast (sort of like that movie, something about a "Race" ), but she probably gets nailed pretty well ( sort of like .... :bahaha!
