Haha I can just imagine the health and safety meeting that went on around that!

I'm sure that is there to protect them from liability issues. Imagine getting that in the face and a metal clip sticks into your eye. Lawsuit!

But aside from legally protecting themselves, someone at that company had to KNOW that pies and cakes are still flung into people's faces. Not something the average person would think of.

"You know what they call cake face smashing in Paris?"
"No?"
"Le cake face smashing!"

It's like they say: If there's a warning, it's because somebody tried it already.
