I'm pretty open minded when it comes to messy substances. But I am something of a connoisseur of cake. I feel however this may be a step too far in the wrong direction. Thoughts?
Thats interesting.... Let us know how it turns out. We already have 5 gallons of regular mayo for an upcoming scene. Birthday Cake mayo may be overrated though and disqualify it from being a savory substance in these parts. Just curious
Birthday cake cool whip makes solid sense when thinking of flavors and fragrances. I don't think I'd be in any rush to consume a cheese covered chocolate.
I have heard of people using mayo when baking a cake. I guess if you were making the right kind of cake, birthday cake flavored mayo might not be to bad and add a little extra bday cake flavor. A quick Google search and I found this about using mayo in cake batter:
"Why do you put mayonnaise in cake? Made from eggs and oil, which are pretty standard cake ingredients, mayonnaise will boost the moisture level in a cake recipe when added to the batter. It might even gussy up your boxed cake mix enough to taste homemade. While adding mayonnaise to dessert may sound odd, apparently this is an old-timey baking trick" https://www.mashed.com/222583/add-mayonnaise-to-your-cake-and-watch-what-happens/
I love to cook and would be interested to hear if anyone has tried or might try this out!
