Welcome back to the You Can't Do That On Set Chronicles! It's here that I'll be keeping track of info about our 'You Can't Do That On Set' video series episode by episode. This includes any of the series first-evers, fun facts, and behind the scenes happenings. YCDTOS has since become my favorite thing to do for our store.


Season 1, Episode 3

Release Date: 12/31/2021

Premise: "Being Careful"

Cast: The Wife, Lilly, Bree, Ellie

Notes:

- The Producer lovingly calls this the 'skeleton crew' episode, as it had three main models getting messy instead of four or five

- Though Ellie is credited for the episode, she was very busy with real life during production and could not be used in scenes. She does make one brief appearance, but stays clean. This technically makes her the first cast member to be on an episode and escape completely clean and dry

- Ellie's small appearance was shot after everything else for the episode was filmed. She came that day to shoot that small bit and then shoot a normal scene. That scene was 'S.L.I.M.E. Insurance'

- Bree recorded the voice over for her 'talking to herself' scene a few weeks after filming wrapped

- The lack of a fourth or even fifth model caused the rest of the cast to get wet and or messy multiple times each. This situation also created the first time one cast member was slimed in three separate skits in a single episode

- There were unintentionally three 'Lilly's Joke Corner' segments. The first went as planned, with The Wife smashing a pie in Lilly's face. However, we noticed after the fact that we had legitimately forgot to put up the 'Lilly's Joke Corner' sign for the skit. Lilly agreed to take another pie from a clean start in a separate skit where she hangs her sign. For this, The Wife really wanted to throw the pie this time, and she does. But, it didn't fully connect with Lilly's face. We called cut, created another pie, and let The Wife throw one more time. This time it was a good throw!

- The first red colored sliming of the series

- The first 'non-traditional' substances used in the series. This was a tar and feathering, with the 'tar' being black strap molasses that was very cold!

- The first sliming to take place on the introduction couch

- This is the third episode in a row where Bree gets watered, which also soaked one half of The Wife who was seated next to her

- The final sliming unintentionally splattered an incredibly large amount. It took over an hour to clean up that one single slime because of how much it got all over the surrounding walls and even the carpet!
