The story behind the storiesBy MuddybootsnlevisPosted 11/15/20 814 views
Thanks to everyone who encouraged me to write Part 3 of The Mud Business. It had been a few years since I wrote the original saga and I wasn't sure that I could pick up on the spirit and momentum of the first two chapters after such a lapse.
But once I got my head back into the characters it was surprisingly easy to return to that wonderful fantasy building where all of the mud fun took place and carry on the adventures of Andy and his boss. I hope you found Part 3 to be a fitting conclusion to the story.
The mudboy Andy character was inspired by a real Mudboy Andy, who lives in England. He has a profile on Recon. That, YouTube videos and some messages between us years ago supplied the raw material for this fictional personality. I don't know if he will ever read these stories but if he does I hope he is pleased with his namesake.
The white leather motorcycle suit with red and black trim featured in Part 3 of The Mud Business is quite real. The photo attached to Part 3 is that very suit hanging in my back yard after being cleaned up from its first muddy adventure. I bought it just to experience the rush of going mudding in a one-piece leather racing suit. I was not disappointed in the results. It has road rash from the previous owner's adventures so the price on ebay was too good to pass up.
Lots more stories in the mud vault, some of them true accounts of my adventures and others, while fiction, are almost always inspired by real people, actual events in my life or wet dreams.
On more than a few occasions I have awakened in the morning having had a wonderful mud or gunge dream. Even before my mandatory wake-up coffee, I'll rush down to the computer to create the outline of the story in the dream before I forget it. Then over the next days or weeks I flesh out the details, polish the grammar and correct any inconsistencies.
My great joy in creating these stories is to do the best job I can to build plausible images in my readers' minds about the scenes unfolding in the story. So there is always a preamble to the "action" and an attempt to put just enough non-fetish details in the story to paint the picture without getting bogged down in the weeds of trivia.
In the Mud Business trilogy, I guess I did a good enough job of that to cause some readers to think it was a true story. It is fiction but heavily inspired by the directional drilling and enormous amount of drilling mud that was used on a big fiber optic project on the street next to my house. And then there were my real-life adventures playing in drilling mud as I rode my dirt bike around construction sites east of Denver.
I'm not into naked play, suits, paint and a few other things enjoyed by other members on here. So all of my stories reflect the gear that I wear on my real-life adventures. 501 Levis, tall logger and lineman boots, Wrangler western shirts and Carhartt work gear are staples of my mudding and gunge wardrobe.
I know that limits my audience but these are my fantasies and adventures in life. Although it has happened on rare occasion, I typically am not inclined to warp a story line to include someone else's fetish unless it is something that I might enjoy trying. Even after years of mud/gunge/messy play I do still find new things to try every now and then.
I've been reluctant to share my stories because in the past some people stole the text and passed it off as their own writing. But the positive reaction to my first story posted on here has caused a change of heart about sharing my stories with this amazing group of people.
So please respect my authorship and do not re-post my stories.
Thanks again for all of your positive feedback. It encourages me to write and post more tales of dirty work, adventures in mudding and gunge play.
Update 9-6-2021:
I posted what I thought was a fun mudding story for the 2021 Labor Day weekend. It was my second short story (long by UMD standards) on here with all chapters in a single post. I was encouraged to do that since my first short story here remains my top rated one, both in views and number of heart votes.
Over a two day period it dropped from 5 to 4.5 to 4 hearts (five votes total) within 75 views. While 4 hearts is still a good rating, that made it the lowest rated story I've posted on here. And that decline contrasted with the positive comments I got from my regular readers. So I deleted it rather than watching the rating continue downward.
Update 7-2-2022:
I edited my story from last year and re-posted it last month. This time it has gotten a good reception so I'll go back to posting stories again.
Update 3-22-2023:
After a longer hiatus from posting stories than I'd planned, I finally got one uploaded today. I actually planned to post one I had promised a long time ago but this one sort of took over my brain and the other one has a lingering timeline problem that I have not yet resolved. But I'll get back to work on it soon because I have two great photos to illustrate it.
This one has a lot more true content than usual. I was inspired by a friend's new book where he beautifully wove current reality with fictional accounts of the past. Building the fountain in the story turned out to be a five year project but the best parts of it were when the lake was drained and I had lots of opportunities to work and play in the mud.
Some were done during the day when I had the perfect work excuse to be out there getting muddy. Other adventures occurred at night under the cover of darkness when I could get really slopped up and enjoy shooting a load or two into my 501s. The construction superintendent is quite real (but with a composite name of two studs who worked on the project) and my fond memories of him and his appearance remain intense to this day.
When the lake was re-filled the mud was gone but then I had lots of opportunities to get soaked, flood my waders and have fun while making adjustments to the fountain. We all worked incredibly hard to make the project a success but I also had a lot of fun in the process.
Update 12-16-2023:
While doing backups of my computer I rediscovered the journal entries I made for a number of my mudding adventures while on road trips. When I travel alone I usually take my mudding gear in case an opportunity presents itself to have some fun.
My trips on the way home from the east coast on I-70 have been particularly fun. Missouri and Kansas have quite a few places where I've have been back several times because the mudding was so good. A little-used ATV park, a Missouri River wildlife area and three reservoirs have all been visited several times. The time of year I am traveling and the weather (remnants of hurricanes) have all played a role in the quantity and quality of the mud.
I edited my story from the drive home from Yellowstone in 2011 and posted it. If it gets a good reception I'll post more.
Update 8-31-2024:
We finally got some nice rain with the August monsoonal flows so I have several Jeeping adventures to write up, and I'll be posting some new photos as well. I usually don't take the camera but decided to document the initiation of some new boots.
We all have our own style for WAMing and I'm no exception. In the past decade I've moved exclusively to outdoor fun, partly because of changes to my living circumstances and partly due to not liking to be messing in a confined space and having to clean up the mess afterwards.
Along with that is the grand adventure of finding new places to go mudding. Having a Jeep again means exploring more remote territory and not having to worry about cleaning up the interior of my daily driver truck. Sometimes when I set out to look for "good trouble" I am disappointed and come home clean. Other times it seems like I hit one jackpot of a site after another and really tucker myself out by the end of the adventure.
I've never been into naked play. I enjoy both the look of messing up my gear as well as the feel of it as I get wet or have mud or gunge inside my gear. Recent changes in that gear include white skinny jeans instead of my usual Levis 501s and shorter, much less expensive boots that can be discarded after a couple of years of use.
Living in a temperate climate, that means my WAM season usually runs from early May to late September. The rest of the time I enjoy j/o sessions wearing my WAM gear and looking at the WAM-erotic photos and videos that you nice folks post on here year-round.
Stay tuned for more true adventure stories.
Update 5-22-2025:
I'm way behind in uploading content. My mud muse has been AWOL for fictional stories but I do have lots of true adventure accounts from the past few years that I have not posted. I will add them as blog posts, not stories.
The first one is from the archive. While sorting through old paperwork I found the hand-written story from before the days of digital cameras and when I had my old CJ-5 that was easy to hose out at the car wash. More to come from 2024 and 2025 as I find time to edit and post.
Please don't bother to rate these blog posts, I'm just posting descriptions of my actual adventures. Of course comments are welcome. I post my fiction under stories, and you are invited to rate those.
