Stand up and be countedBy WinterWoollyWetboyPosted 7/17/24 152 views
Hi fellow WAMs,
I'm thinking about buying a stand up paddle board so that I can do the next best thing to one of the good Lords most famous party tricks. Ok so it isn't quite walking on water but it's sort of gliding across it fully clothed wearing shoes & socks as well. Should I go for a paddle just before work? There wouldn't be time to change into a bathing costume would there? I might also forget to bring one with me. No I'll have to save time & keep my office clothes on as well as my tie & baseball cap. I'll just have to be careful not to fall off the board into the water. Hopefully I would be able to arrive at work neat & tidy with all my clothes, shoes & socks dry. If I went on my day off I think it would be important to be wearing nice neat warm clothes too. Maybe my new dark blue jeans, turtleneck skivvy with a flannelette shirt over the top of it. Yes I would have to have clean underpants & a singlet vest underneath all this clothing. I'd need socks & my best brown leather boots on too so that my feet remain
warm & dry too. Even in spring or summer One needs to be dressed warmly when paddling.
I could go out on the water when the beautiful people are swimming wearing their nice skimpy bikinis. Of couse I couldn't possibly swim with them, not wearing my best clothes. I could just go out amongst them & have a chat to pass the time of day. I think Id be fine because I have a good sense of balance but I guess I would have to be very careful not to fall into the water fully clothed wouldn't I? Gee I hope no one causes my board to capsize. I really can't afford to enter the water fully clothed now can I? What does everyone think I should do?
