It's funny how a few seconds of a commercial can stick with you for decades.

There was a Lee Jeans commercial in the 80s, and for the tiniest slice of the ad, the actress sits on a cherry pie.

I don't remember if that inspired me to branch out beyond wet and muddy play, but it's likely given the timing.






Watching it now it's over even quicker than I remembered.

Anyway, that event became the inspiration for a portion of the Messy Sundae set...

And an upcoming set or two.

Messy Sundae uses a frozen cherry pie, cooked, and it didn't have the squish I was hoping for. After a conversation or two with some others here that are more experienced with the way of the pie, I decided to try a couple of graham crusts with some (hopefully good) pie filling.

I'm hoping I get one shot, with blue jeans, that succeeds. If I do get that (mini?) set on the first try, I already have some ideas for what to do with the otner cherry pie.

In the meantime, sooner rather than later, I have a few other ingredients from Saturday's grocery store run that need to make use of...

That peanut butter cream pie is going to be a challenge... the smol one (also from the Messy Sundae set) was delicious! I need to make sure I don't eat it instead of wearing it!
