It's been ten days since my surgery and I am finally starting to feel a bit more "normal". After a lot of pain management challenges and switching meds multiple times my doctor has finally found a combination of meds that makes the pain tolerable so I can do more than just be stuck in bed most of the day. I am slowly getting more independent. I was able to shower and get dressed today by myself! I know that's not a huge accomplishment but any small amount of independence feels great. Even slow progress is still progress.
