As many of you have probably noticed, all of the promotional pictures have now been removed from my profile. This is not because the show is cancelled, but simply because it has begun and all the teasers are over with. We are set to start filming this winter.

The official website is finished and will launch once a few shows have been shot and edited, they will be released for free alongside a gallery of high definition images from each episode. Since I have a site for my films, I'd like to have them connected, but I think a dedicated page would allow for better interactivity. It has two blogs for myself and one for Dani so fans and friends can chat directly with each of us, a forum for everyone to share ideas and propose new dares for us with, a poll system so I can regule that sort of thing and easier management of pages for the videos and galleries.

The site I'm hosting from only allows for videos under 100MB in size, and after doing a few short films, I've realized that by shooting in HD, there's no way that will work as I'm usually pushing 100MB with just a few minutes of footage, so I episodes will be posted on YouTube and embedded on the site, this will make bandwidth easier to deal with, and allow for more screen size and quality options. My professional camcorder shoots in 1080i or 720P (for highest quality), and I prefer progressive shooting as the footage looks better on all TV and computer screens compared to interlaced so 720P will be the highest quality available.

I have three camcorders, all HD. One being the professional one where I can also record professional sound with, and the other two are consumer cameras with picture quality equal to the pro one. I plan on covering three angles for every episode, with the third camera being used as a mobile unit that can be changed as needed for better angles. All still pictures will be taken from the video as I've found that it was too hard to manage the still camera, perform the dares (while avoiding any damage to my lenses) and double check the recording all at once. Since I'm editing in Adobe Premiere Pro, I can easily select a single frame and export it right on the editor, then easily jazz it up in Photoshop. The only downside to this is that the pixel resolution is smaller than what I could get from a still camera, but in the end the quality is still HD and the differences minimal.

I am meeting with Amy in two weeks and will set up a date for her and Jordan to get things started, then Dani and I will take it from there. I may do an episode solo for a trailer. I still have to make an opening animation in After Effects and a very short soundscape to go with it, but I can do that more easily around Christmas when I have some time off.

Come summer we'll be able to do much larger productions outside including baths in oatmeal, chocolate, slime, etc. and we may be able to get a dunk tank in for others, if we can fill it with something other than water is something we have to discuss.
