"Liking" is a response ... it's quick ... quintessentially quick ... it's easy ... essentially easy (!?) ... but it is a response ... adding emoji characters is an element of nuance ... especially if some thought appears to have gone into their arrangement ... and they solve the problem of language if language is a factor ...

However I "hear you!" Responding with a comment using the language of the realm is more engaging ... speaking personally I often like to at least say "thank you" ... I have some standard responses too ... admittedly I feel that many viewers/voyeurs are simply shy ... and I'm sure many do not know what to say ... even when they like something ...
