Mud Pies and more . . .

When I was a little girl living in the desert (Phoenix, Arizona) I would play in the dirt and mud just about all day. I LOVED it! So much in fact that my parents got me a t-shirt that said "Dirt Don't Hurt" picturing a cartoon child playing in the dirt and mud.

On the side of the house I grew up in was a large dirt area I turned into my personal play area. For hours on end I was entertained by making the most amazing mud pies anyone has every seen! The dirt in Arizona is great ingredient for mud pie makings! My parents were happy because it kept me well out of any trouble and I was happy because I was praised for being mud messy which I dearly LOVED.

Sometimes I would sell my mud pies at the end of our drive way. I'd set up a little table and make a little sign that would read something like "The Worlds Best Mud Pies For Sale." To make it even more inviting for visitors to brows about admiring my artistic mud pie talents I brought out my little 45 turn table and played dj spinning such musical artists as Rod Steward, The Rolling Stones, Shaun Cassidy, and many others who where hot at the time. Oh I really knew how to create the atmosphere for success. I was very successful in my mud pie business in fact! I'd have no less then 1 sale per customer and 2 on average every time I'd set up my mud pie stand.

Years later I still have a fascination with dirt, water and mud. Though I may not be running mud pie stands in my parents driveway anymore. I do however run a custom content business where I do get to exercise my love for the messy form time to time. I'd even be running a store here on UMD, and may very well still, if there were another means to accept funds then paypal. I refuse to do business with payfraud under any circumstances! Though I could go on to why for hours, maybe even days, I will refrain from doing so as this is not a post to complain about the evils of our society it is a post of Happiness and fun filled memories. Being a part of UMD has awoken my inner child who loves to play in the dirt and mud and get messy and have fun!

Maybe next post I'll tell you all about my more recent cream pieing adventures.

Kisses,
Annie
